Once again our beloved unassuming lemon tree has blossomed. The look of it makes us giggle; the lovely smell of it makes us dizzy. So much so that UrbanBaby had to take a nap in its shade on the living room floor the other day. That took our breath away too…
Today we finally plucked our last lemon from the tree in the anticipation of many more to come next lemon season.
The big yellow lemon looked so good in UrbanBaby’s lil’ hand. She said limoo (lemon in Farsi) for the very first time – it was amazing. We drizzled some of the juice on grilled cod for dinner. Used the grind for sautéing some delicious asparagus. I still have 2 slices of it left for my hubby and I to put in our water later this evening.
When you find something this good, you must savor every bit of it.

Thank god for our little lemon tree.
